Daybind is a local-first daily journal for Mac. This page explains what Daybind stores, where it stays, and what Daybind does not do.
What Daybind stores
Daybind stores the content you create in the app: daily notes, tasks, routines, tags, settings, and backup files you choose to create.
The core daily notes experience works without an account.
Where your data stays
Your Daybind data is stored locally on your Mac.
When you create a backup, Daybind asks you where to save the backup file. When you restore from a backup, Daybind asks you to choose the file.
What Daybind does not do
- Daybind does not use advertising tracking.
- Daybind does not sell your data.
- Daybind does not require an account for the daily notes experience.
- Daybind does not send your journal content to any server.
Support emails
If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device details, screenshots, logs, or a description of the issue. We use that information only to respond to support requests and improve Daybind.
Diagnostics
Daybind may keep local diagnostic information on your device. This information is not automatically sent to us unless you choose to share it.
Future features
If Daybind adds account-based features, cloud storage, payments, or integrations in a future release, this policy will be updated before those features are made public.
